DMG Residence by Reinach Mendonça Arquitetos Associados
Reinach Mendonça Arquitetos Associados designed the DMG Residence in Braganca, Paulista, Brazil. This stunning contemporary residence spans 9,600 square feet of luxurious living space designed for the young couple. Its pristine location ensures that it is surrounded by greenery, similar to the FG Residence designed by the same studio.
From land selection to program definition, Reinach Mendonça Associated Architects (RMAA) is involved in the process of defining the DMG Residence project, located in Bragança Paulista (SP).
As a young couple with two young children, with several siblings and friends, the house was designed for their reunion. DMG Residence is distinguished by its simplicity in the use of exposed concrete, castings and lightness treatment of a long and narrow volume with large eaves, and one of its facades is transformed into a beautiful view of the farm and its vegetation.
The house has a concrete structure, roof, walls, metal awning and aluminum frames. We took advantage of the great unevenness of the ground, which at first might have been the project’s greatest difficulty. The solution was to place a half-level swimming pool under the social and recreational areas, creating a transitional level between the house and the grounds. This gap also helped solve the temporary residence, which is located on the lower level in a place of privacy and autonomy.
The design features interconnected social spaces into a single space with a great deal of transparency, enhancing the relationship with the outside and abundant ventilation crossing both sides.
The gourmet porch has a metal frame roof and wood lining that floats above the level of the concrete slabs and leaves free ventilation very fresh. Rainwater is collected for irrigation and solar energy for water heating and swimming pools. PV panels provided for short term installations.
This house is located in the interior of São Paulo in a gated community with the purpose of leisure and relaxation on weekends.
The adopting party sought to make the most of the beautiful countryside view of the area the entire house was transformed into, as well as create close-knit social environments that congregate on the ground floor.
To distribute all the rooms we have adopted an interesting solution, which is to place the guest suites on the ground floor with access but connected to the house from the outside through a charming patio/garden and balcony. While the three exclusive family dormitories are located upstairs along a balcony overlooking the landscape, like all other spaces in the house.”
