Let’s start the new year by pointing out some key ideas that will help your family have a more responsible interior design throughout the year.
The slow living trend, ideal for responsible interiors, encourages us to re-evaluate our consumption habits, both in the field of decoration by purifying our interiors as much as possible; Or simply through small everyday gestures that, when taken collectively, are beneficial to our dear planet.
Because of the pressure our culture places on us to consume, these gestures in particular can sometimes be intimidating. But you will discover in this post that there are solutions that cost very little money and are easy to implement. We’ll start from Kitchen areaand in some other posts, we’ll continue with the bathroom.
in the kitchen area
Use wood accents
Leave the disposable sponges that are wasteful and short-lived. Instead, we use hardwood dish brushes, which, due to their changed heads, are noticeably more robust.
Fewer household products containing chemicals
We don’t need chemicals to clean our interiors, which is a psychological milestone to achieve. Instead of that! Black soap and white vinegar are both excellent natural cleansers. Try them, and you will adopt them!
Replace the disposable with something permanent
How much trash do we create in our kitchens in terms of paper towels, clear plastic, baking paper, etc. over the course of an entire year? We haven’t used paper towels in the house in over a year. For meals, we turned them into cloth napkins, and they work great that way! We prefer to keep food in plastic boxes (which we are gradually replacing with glass) of transparent film.
Use cotton shopping bags
We’ve made an effort to keep and return our paper bags over the past few months. We fold them nicely and put them in the shopping bag we bring to the market instead of throwing them away. Unfortunately, they always end up ripping, so we’re debating buying some of these little cotton sacks instead.
Together we can make a difference, change has to start somewhere.
